Struggling to come up with new groove ideas? In today’s lesson, Brandon Toews is here to provide you with 3 different concepts you can easily apply to ANY drum beat, making them sound fresh and new. Keeping your grooves from becoming stale can be difficult, so we hope these ideas will help spark some creative juices.

Brandon began working at Drumeo in the fall of 2013 and is currently studying Music Performance at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta. Having played drums for just over 10 years, he’s performed with various local theatrical companies, original and cover bands, and even X Corps – a drumline based out of the Fraser Valley. Brandon also enjoys teaching private lessons focused on approaching different styles of music, technique, and drum theory and notation.
